How the Hacking Team team works internally
Last updated: October 19, 2026
The Hacking Team is the human core behind Strike's platform. They are the experts who oversee, validate, and elevate the work of Strike's AI agent, so that every finding you receive is relevant, exploitable, and actionable. This article explains who they are and how they work alongside the agent.
Who they are
The Hacking Team is made up of senior ethical hackers who are part of Strike's in-house team, with roots in Latin America and global experience in offensive security. Their job is to guarantee the quality of every run on the platform, combining the reach and speed of the AI agent with the expert judgment that only a person can provide.
They are different from the Strikers, the global community of ethical hackers who perform specialized manual testing on specific projects. The Hacking Team, on the other hand, operates continuously within the platform: it validates findings, oversees Threat Emulations, and guides the ongoing improvement of the system.
What they do
Finding validation. Every finding detected by the AI agent goes through triage by the Hacking Team before it is published, and 100% of critical findings are also reproduced and validated manually. This removes noise and false positives before they reach your platform.
Threat Emulation oversight. The team supports the different types of Threat Emulation the platform runs: Full security, Focused Threat Emulation, and Change-based Threat Emulation.
Triage and prioritization. Not all vulnerabilities have the same impact. The team prioritizes findings based on their technical criticality and their real business impact, so your development team can focus first on what matters most.
Business logic vulnerability detection. In complex environments, human expertise is decisive. The team identifies business logic flaws that require context and judgment to uncover.
Continuous improvement of the AI agent. Every human validation feeds back into the system. The team's oversight continuously optimizes the detection capability of Strike's AI agent and the quality of the results.
How it works alongside Strike's AI agent
Strike's model relies on three layers that work together: the AI models, a proprietary data layer built from thousands of hours of pentesting, and the human intelligence layer, which is where the Hacking Team operates.
The AI agent runs your Threat Emulations according to the recurrence you configured. When it identifies a potential finding, the Hacking Team reviews it, validates its exploitability, assesses its impact, and, if appropriate, publishes it with concrete remediation steps.
This hybrid model combines the speed and scale of automation with the judgment and depth of expert human analysis. To learn about the agent's security controls, see How Strike's AI agent operates.
Why it matters for your company
Having the Hacking Team behind every run means your security team receives validated findings, with clear context and remediation guidance. This translates into:
Less noise and fewer false positives distracting the team.
Greater confidence in every reported vulnerability.
Prioritization aligned with real business impact.
Ongoing strategic support, not just automated reports.
